Anytime Airtime is a licensed reseller of virtual prepaid airtime for three mobile telecom operators in Botswana and two of the three operators in Mozambique. Our business model revolves around recruiting informal traders and providing them with handsets and virtual airtime on a cash basis to create a general credit profile for them. We also offer basic financial literacy training to traders in bookkeeping and stock control. After achieving a minimum level of competency, we provide credit services to their micro-enterprises, helping them increase their average daily revenue to $57 per person.

We identified the needs of the informal sector in Botswana, the presence of a large number of women and youth in certain businesses, and the trend towards digitization, in order to create a systematic approach to aligning our enterprise with our goal of being an agent for socio-economic change.
