Job Purpose

Positions are available in Gaborone, Mahalapye, Ghanzi, Palapye, Francistown, Selebi-Phikwe, Maun, Kanye, Jwaneng, Lobatse and Molepolole.
Responsibilities
• Drive client acquisition through word-of-mouth, direct contact, and collaboration with the marketing teams to generate leads
• Promote and sell products/services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers.
• Generating new sales opportunities by door-to-door marketing, cold calling and networking.
• Working closely with the marketing and events teams to leverage existing opportunities.
• Represent the company at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations.
• Attend team meetings and share best practice with colleagues.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Attend to customer inquiries regarding products or services.
• Conduct market research and field surveys for clients, products and services.
• Prepare sales reports.
• Develop and maintain business relationships with policy holders.
• Counsel and advise prospects and policyholders on matters of protection and coverage
Minimum Requirements/Skills
• A certificate of Proficiency (C.O.P) in short term Insurance from the Insurance Institute of South Africa or equivalent
• 1 year experience in sales or client service environment
• 1 year experience selling short term insurance products in the business market
• Excellent communication, Interpersonal and negotiation skills
• Analytical skills to understand complex coverage details and underwriting guidelines
• Computer literation - Word, Excel an advantage.
