Job Purpose
As a member of the Executive of the Commission, the Executive Manager, Risk and Compliance is responsible for the strategic management and coordination of all business compliance issues at the Botswana Meat Commission. These shall include, Quality Assurance, Internal Audit, Safety Health and Environment, Process Control, Enterprise risk management and Business continuity management.
Principal Accountabilities
• Ensure strict health, hygiene and content specification of BMC products and manufacturing processes.
• Monitors and verifies programs to ensure policies and standard of procedures (SOPs) are implemented across the Commission.
• Establish and document management programs and systems and ensure same are implemented across the Commission
• Ensure the Commission adheres to strict Occupational health and Safety.
• Ensure a detailed risk assessments across the Commission
• Develop risk management policies and protocols in line with BMC regulations
• Ensure all potential risk threats are identified and create plans to prevent and mitigate such.
• Develop a framework to ensure business continuity in cases of crisis
• Ensure BMC conforms strictly to best international standards and regulation
• Clean Audit
Position Requirements
Education
Business Degree in Risk Management or any compliance qualification acceptable by BMC. Post graduate experience in risk management, quality assurance will serve as an added advantage.
Experience
Ten years’ experience in Quality assurance/ Risk Management experience with minimum of seven (7) years’ experience at senior management level in a large manufacturing/food processing environment.
