Provision of efficient and effective support of IT infrastructure and applications for the DCEC Headquarters and Fairgrounds branches, hence providing the highest level of system availability, performance and security.
Hardware/software(Operating Systems and other vital applications) installation, configuration and maintenance on user workstations, servers, printers and IP Phones.
Support, monitoring and backup of Microsoft Exchange Server 2007, Windows Server 2008 and replicas for both branches.
LAN monitoring and maintenance for both branches. (installation, configuration and monitoring of replica servers, switches, printers, ip-phones, network cable-creation, network-jack fixation, Mail directory and Active Directory store backup-creation, ant-virus and other software deployment).
Introduction and Incorporation of Linux-based utilities and equipment into the current LAN set-up for backup, advanced security utilities and hosting of open-source software such the ticketing and integrated library systems.
User Support and training (quick response to user queries such as mail/outook/internet configurations, office package training, projector-setup for conferences and presentations, ip-phone configurations, forgotten passwords, etc..)
Data recovery from crushed user workstations and servers.
Provision of end user support for organisational officers by offering assistance in the use of office packages such as Microsoft Excel and Word for example, and other legacy systems.
Provision of end-user training on computer basics.
Provision of advisory information pertaining to ITC related issues such as procurement of computers, servers, switches and network upgrades
